Pupil's Respond 8 - Fire Safety Day
Hi Everyone,
Fire safety is a very important consideration as our country is experiencing very dry weather at this time.In addition, there has been several fires that broke out in apartments in recent months.How can we help to ensure that fire does not break out accidentally?
1. Have you seen or experienced any incident of fire break out in your home or neighbourhood? If so, could you tell us what happened?
No.
2. Can you describe what you would do if a fire were to break out in your home or outside?
I will run as fast as my legs can carry me.
3. What do you think are the causes of fire in homes or outside?
a. People leaving stoves unattended
b. Playing with matchsticks
c. Playing with fire
4. What can you do to prevent fire from breaking out in your home and outside?
a. Turn off the gas stove when not in use
b. Turn off the gas stove when answering a call.
5. Do you think our pupils are conscious of fire safety? What makes you say so?
Yes. Cause we attended the fire safety talk in school.
6. If you were given a chance to introduce an activity for children to learn fire safety, what would it be and why?
Conduct frequent fire drills. Because it creates a realistic scenario in case of a fire and what to do.

Pupil's Respond (9) - Track and Field Day
Hi, my name is Cherie and I would like to tell you all about Track and Field Day.
On Firday morning, it was Track and Field Day. The weather was good and hot and sunny. My mother brought me to Yio Chu Kang stadium for the Sports Carnival.
2. What do you think is the most interesting part of the School Sports? Why?
Topaz was trying hard to win but Topaz came in second place. We helped to cheer for our team. ''TOPAZ GOOO! TOPAZ GOOOO!''
3. What do you think is the most uninteresting part of the School Sports? Why?
The sun got very hot and it kept shining on me. Then, it took very long for the Track and Field to start. I couldn't wait.
4. How can the school improve on the School Sports Day?
They can let more people run in the Sports Carnival and it could have been longer as it was a day of fun.
5. Do you think engaging in sports is important and useful? If so, why? If not, why?
Yes. It is because sports helps to keep us healthy.
6. Do you engage in any sports? If so, what is it? If not, why have you not engage in it?
Yes. I play badminton, basketball, golf, swimming, cycling and running.
8. If your were the principal of the school, what would you do to encourage pupils to engage in sports?
If I were the principal of the school, I will introduce more PE lessons and give talks on how useful sports can be for all the children.

Pupil's Response (7) - READING IS GOOD AND FUN!
Hi, my name is Cherie. I am going to tell you all about reading.
Everyday, I will read a science or an english storybook. Science is an important subject as I am studying it for the first time. When I read the science book, it was very fun as I love to learn about science. Science teaches me alot of things and can teach you all alot of things too!
English is a fun and happy subject. My favourite English storybook is 'Geronimo Stilton'. It is the funniest rat storybook that I have ever read. I have three kinds of storybook. It is 'Geronimo and the Mystery Gold Medal', 'Christmas Catastrophe' and 'Geronimo Valentine'. It is fun to read as English and Science will help you to improve this subjects and help you understand more about more things, for example, English can help you to understand more about your compositions and comprehensions. Another example, Science can help you all to understand more about bacteria, fishes, non-living things, living things, system and cycle.
